There is not enough space here that would allow me to explain. It seems that in 1809 per MR support the WIM file from MS is corrupted. This is only if you use RE. Now when v7.2.3811 first came out it worked fine for me with CBT turned off. The problem I have is that my KB and Mouse do not work if you do a restore. Makes the entire program useless. Now this all happened with the release of v 7.3.3825. Bear in mind that The Wim files were not changed by MS between these two builds. So MR Support went and closed my ticket on their own, after pointing fingers at MS. Now my keyboard and mouse worked just fine in 3811 and they work in WimPE but the entire intent of version 7.2 was to use RE.
I got so P***D that I went in The Fast Ring. I have yet to try RE in 18277 but I would wager a box of chocolates it won't. I sort of lost some respect with MR when they start placing the blame on MS.
MR issues @simrick - Things I've bumped into, not everyone experiences the same thing.
Task Scheduler - on the first backup right after the time change MR ran twice, once at 9:00 EST and once at 10:00 am. Said this was an issue with MS's Task scheduler but did not happen on my Win 7. So it could be Win 10 Task Scheduler but the older version did not run twice when we went forward. Said it will only happen once, we will see in December.
Icons on Task bar. They said I pinned the wrong MR icon to task bar. I should start MR, then right click that icon and pin it to task bar. It works but the icon is different from the standard, or what I will call standard, MR icon.
If you use the PE to build your recovery media and your machine is capable of wireless when you boot from the media it will try to start Wireless in a loop for about two minutes before it gives up. The boot continues ok from there. Wireless should only be available in RE. Sometimes this loop corrupts the wired connection, sometimes not.
If you build your recovery environment using RE and it detects wireless it will build the environment but as soon as you burn to CD it dies. Tried twice. Remove the wireless option and I could burn to CD, the same CD that it said had errors. Wonder if this is a space issue as I was using a CD and not DVD. This is the only one they have not replicated yet at Macrium.
