Yeah, some folks do use them for that. They actually have a good temperament, at least the ones that got loose a couple times from the neighbors that I ran across didn't have a attitude problem.

Borg, Basset Hounds are humongous, and can well eat you out of house and home! If you should need to take it to the vet, both of you together couldn't carry it or lift it into the car.

Yeah we had over 2" of rain fall here yesterday, along with very high winds. More rain coming in the next few days ahead too.
Guess I don't have to worry about the well drying up....lol
