@essenbe, how's it going in your neck of Florida now with Dorian?

It's not even going to come close to me. Thanks for asking.

I openly admit that I too often forget the fact, that other people live in areas where this is reality. Living in the central Europe, we do not know what it could be. We have no hurricanes, earth quakes and such. I too often forget it, and too seldom think people living in those areas.

Watching news now on Finnish TV, I was reminded how bad it could be in next day or two in Florida and Georgia. I hope that the Flying Spaghetti Monster and all other heavenly geeks (Allah, Buddha, God, Shiva and the rest of them, which ever you'd prefer) bless people living in Dorian's route, keep them safe and help those affected to survive without serious damage.

I live in Melbourne, Fl, about 15 minutes from the Atlantic. At one time we were ground zero for Dorian but if predictions hold true it will stay off shore. We'll still get a lot of wind and rain but nothing like what it appeared we would originally.

I can't even image what it's like in the Bahamas right now. 175MPH winds, 15 to 20 ft storm surge. It will be a miracle if there is much of anything left there.
