I've been throwing up about anything I eat or drink for the past week or so. My doc sent me to laboratory. Today, first time ever, a nurse (or laboratory technician, I am not sure) simply refused to take my samples.
I was at laboratory exactly 8 AM. I had been told to be last 12 hours without food, drink and smoking before I should give blood, urin and stool samples. The nurse asked me if I had been "nüchter", word used here to tell you have had nothing to eat, drink or smoke.
For once, I decided to be honest. I told her that because of me suffering from insomnia, a byproduct of Ménière's disease, I could not sleep last night. She asked what had I consumed within the last 12 hours. I told that not much, only four or five shots of whisky, a cup or two of coffee, and a few smokes.
She sent me away.
My doc just called, lab had called him. He told me to go back to laboratory on Thursday morning, and answer "YES!" if asked if I have been "nüchter".
