This is one of those days you could see a grown up man cry.
Football, the real one, not the colonial version where "foot" means playing and transporting the ball with hands, has never been a big sport in my small, native Finland. For the first, Finland has a population of only 5.5 million, and for the second, half of the year it's really cold and snow.
Finland has never been qualified to any major football tournament. It has been close, yes, but never there.
Anyway, just now, Finland won another small nation Lichtenstein in European Championships 2020 qualification game 3 to 0. Two goals by Teemu Pukki, who plays pro in English Premium League team Norwich.
Today's win means Finland comes second in the qualification group, and will be in European Championships next year.
This is first time ever in my small nation's history we are qualified in any major international tournament. Whole Finland is going crazy, I am crying like a baby who just lost his lollipop.

Keith, please do not take this wrong.
It is quite obvious that England is in Euro 2020. One of the strongest football countries in Europe. But my small Finland, that is another story.
Whole government were today watching the game, here our president Mr. Sauli Niinistö (right) shown in stand tonight:
Whole country is going crazy, celebrations in cold November weather going on. This is sensational!

RE: My earlier post about my small native Finland qualifying first time ever to football European Championships 2020.
I am one trip and one signature short to end a several years long legal and financial fight, which started after my last, fourth and hopefully last divorce. I must travel to my native Finland to make everything OK again. Early last week, I was thrilled to think that if Finland wins the deciding game on Friday, I would be in Helsinki to participate the party planned for the national team today in Helsinki, capital of Finland. But, again something happened and I had to postpone the trip.
Problem is, I can never fly again because of my inner ear and balance issues. My low six figures frequent flier points are slowly vanishing in the thin air. Instead of flying early AM (less than two hour flight), and being back home same evening, I must do a trip lasting almost a week. Almost 7 hours in train to a Baltic Sea port, then two days ferry trip to Finland, just to get there, and same to return home.
Original plan was to travel out on Saturday, to be Monday and today Tuesday in Helsinki, and travel home tomorrow Wednesday. At last moment I had to cancel the trip, it's now looking that I can do it first after Xmas.
Anyway, now I can only watch whole Finland going crazy on TV. Luckily I can get Finnish TV here. Screenshots from the main event today in city center Helsinki:
