I hate this inability to sleep, insomnia. It is past 6:30 AM Sunday morning, I've been awake since just before 4 AM on Saturday. Clean sheets in bed, cool, clean and dark bedroom. Have been in bed several times for an hour or two trying to sleep but I just can't. Eventually, I just give up and go to balcony to have a smoke and a dram of whisky.
Extremely tired. My shrink has told me to keep a "sleep diary", note what I am thinking and how I am feeling. Wrote just now "I hope this is not one of those times with 60+ hours without sleep".
