Well this takes the biscuit - apparently someone has written to one of the newspapers with a question - "Will I get tasered if I go to Lidl"

the government may be bad but not even they would sanction that - maybe if they were off to Waitrose and could infect them (or their servants), but not Lidl
The UK is less worried about Covid than they are about when someone feels they have been insulted or bullied online#freespeach

Day 9 of my self-quarantine. Since I won't get a test unless I have symptoms, this should work.

Oh, yeah, the last place I've been is Wally World, which was pretty empty. Didn't have to try at all to keep my distance from others.

I personally think the governments need to take all the young folks under 30 years, to internment camps, give them Covvid, then "milk" them for antibodies, so older folks, and anyone with endangering underlying illnesses, can get shots.

In the United States, about 38% of coronavirus patients sick enough to be hospitalized were ages 20 to 54. Those under 9 have the smallest number of infections though

Ok, this virus, or better said; all the store shutdowns because of this damn virus, has finally struck a nerve with me today!

My watch battery decided that today was a great day to run out of juice.

Where I live there is no way to get a watch battery now.
All jewelry stores are closed, and there is a show shop near me, that does leather repair and watch repair(has batteries) and that's also closed.

And over here is not like in the states where you can buy a pack of 20 different button batteries in a grocery store.

Infuriating isn't it. I had to go to Amazon for light bulbs last week. Ever since Amazon's AI has flooded me with offers for more light bulbs.

Amazon are always infuriating, as are others such as eBay. The problem is that their algorithms are too simplistic. I can understand if I purchase a bottle of Dad Pop, (single Malt ), that they would offer me the occasional refresh of the brand or alternatives. However, If I spend hundreds or thousands of pounds on a one a year item or something with a longer expected usage, I am unlikely to order another a few days after the first, so it's pointless to suggest this.

They even offer me alternative brands of camera lens that would never fit my camera (DSLR)

At least you guys have E-bay within easy reach. Around here it'd best to look stuff up at several what can be described as "Online flea markets".
