On a serious point, in the region I live(Franconia/Franken) they are starting to start implement curfews in some towns., because people like kids(schools closed), and young adults that can't work because of either their employer need to keep people home, or because classes have been closed, are still congregating in groups.

Yes. Last weekend they even started to open all doors automatically at every stop, so people don't have to push the buttons when they want in or out.

YouTube to Reduce Streaming Quality in Europe Due to Coronavirus

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Alphabet Inc's YouTube said on Friday it will reduce its streaming quality in the European Union to avert internet gridlock as thousands of Europeans, constrained by the coronavirus outbreak, switch to working from home.

YouTube is the second company after Netflix to act after EU industry chief Thierry Breton urged streaming platforms to cut the quality of their videos to prevent internet overload. Videos account for a substantial part of internet traffic data.

The move came after Breton spoke to Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai and YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki.

Yes, first full day. Seems 2020 is an anomaly, actually was yesterday, the 19th, very late. First time in over a century.

Two headlines from today in Bavaria:

Update from 20.03.2020, 09.00: Curfew restrictions in Germany - Behavior of the population on Saturday decisive

    then

Update from 20.03.2020, 1.30 p.m.: Bavaria imposes curfew restrictions

Initial restrictions in Bavaria: What is still allowed?
Going to work: Employers are encouraged to rely on home office variants.
Go to the doctor: However, physiotherapy sessions are only approved in an emergency.
Going shopping: The food supply in Bavaria is also guaranteed. However, Söder and Aiwanger appeal to the population not to make "hamster purchases".
Going to the bank: Furthermore, withdrawal and withdrawal traffic at ATMs is guaranteed. Prime Minister Söder warns against withdrawing cash en masse - there is no reason for this.
Walking/jogging: If possible alone - in exceptional cases together with persons "of the same house" - i.e. the family.

Initial restrictions in Bavaria: What is forbidden?
All meetings are banned: if groups of people are in public, they are controlled by the police. Without such justification, fines of up to 25,000 euros are threatened.
Gastronomic establishments, construction and garden markets and hairdressers must close.
Leaving the house is not allowed for other than reasons listed under "What is allowed?".

Well Saturday came pretty damn fast

But to be perfectly honest, with the restrictions, it won't be any different to me, than when there is no need for them.
