Not without looking it up, and that's a lotta trouble . . .

To convert F to C, subtract 32 and multiply by 5 and divide by 9 i.e.

(-40 F - 32)* 5/9 = -40 C

-40F = -40 C !

Welcome to global warming?
It seems the Gulf Stream(that brings northern Europe the warm/mild temps) is passing the UK by then, on it's way to the North Sea.

Yeah - that's Aberdeen!

I can verify the local saying "four seasons in a day". I have seen temperatures in 20s (C) in morning and snow in afternoon with high winds and rain in between - lol.

I know from experience, I've been outside in both temperatures and it was cold. Northern Ontario and Quebec can get really cold in winter.

Yeah - I worked for a while in Deep River (Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories) and it was middle of Winter and blooming cold. We used to fly there from Toronto using Pembroke Airways in tiny turboprops. Jeez - these guys were cowboys and more like the Aussie Crop Sprayers (most reckless pilots in the universe - they taught Hans Solo). Their nickname was PEM Scareways.
