    Good afternoon and good morning.

Cooler here or at least not as much humidity.

The neighbour had a 60th B-day party last night that we attended.

Seahawks lost, again. Going to be very rough year.

Nice pic Wynona and nice placing. Anybody in picture we might want to know?
    Morning Ken.

You didn't miss the post; I was too tired to write it up afterward.

Robbie and I had picked up some knick knacks, candy, perfume, etc., and left them on the kitchen counter for her to find when she got home from Vegas; this was to make her think the presents were given . . . Ha!

So, at 2:00 PM sharp, we pulled up to her house and took ice cream, cake and camera inside. Left the Kindle in the car for later. Cyndi banned the camera because she'd been outside and her hair was windblown . . . so much for that! She said she hadn't had a birthday cake in years, which was a plus and made it even more special.

After the cake and ice cream were eaten, we were clearing the table when Russell came in with another present for her; a Psycho Bunny shirt! They're for men, but he picked the most feminine one he could find (mint green) because she's a bunny person. That was a hit and a perfect segue into the Kindle, so I snuck out the back door to get it.

I walked into the dining room and just placed it on the table. "More?", Cyndi said, with a wondering look on her face. It was in a gigantic purple bag with purple flowers sticking out the top. A little case I found at Sutherland's Lumber and Hardware was on top and the Kindle was on bottom. So, she pulled out the case first, checked it out and thought it was for her existing tablet. Can you believe she didn't even see the Kindle!?!

She started to put the bag aside and realized it wasn't empty; you should have seen her face when she saw that Kindle! It was priceless, but the camera had been banned and I ain't agonna cross my daughter on what she thinks her hair looks like!

So, as she was examining it, exclaiming over it being 10.1", I told her I had charged it, but had done nothing else; that it was ready for setup. At that point, we lost Cyndi . . . she was deep into her new Kindle!

If anyone deserves a special day, Cyndi is that person! As the older generation of both sides of the family have aged, she's stepped up to the plate and taken over special occasions, working tirelessly to see that everyone has a good time. So, I had a chance to show appreciation for the hard work she puts in.

It was fun to surprise her for a change, instead of being on the receiving end most of the time!
