Came with a 1TB 5400RPM HDD but I replaced it with a 500GB SSD and I'm using the HDD for backups. It's also got room for a RAM upgrade in the future. Right now it has 8GB, which should be fine, but I can upgrade it to 16 in the future.

Best thing to do is wait for RAM prices to drop, way too high now.

Did you load it up with protection, can you use a VPN ?
How is cell phone service up there ?

I should probably look into better protection. Right now I've just got Windows Defender on which is fine while I'm on my home wifi, but I should get something better for school. Any suggestions?

Can't use a VPN, I could get in serious trouble if I used one. They reserve the right to monitor our internet usage. Cell phone service is great up there! Just got a new-to-me iPhone too after my Samsung bricked itself.
