8am to 8pm today for my local Tesco (just checked, I need some things).

Just popped in to say 'hi all' before going shopping....

...,and to apologise for my absence, hadn't realised I'd have to subscribe again now the thread has restarted (wondered why it had been so quiet)
    Afternoon Bree Welcome back

    Afternoon Andre

    Afternoon Bree

We have a lot of places that don't seem to close. Drug stores, grocery stores, Walmart. Open early and close at midnight. Then there are the food outlets like MacDonald's that just don't close.

Yes when this thread goes quiet you know something is wrong. Another 50 pages and will will split again.

Well, shopping successfully completed now. Chilly out though, 18°C (that's 64°F across the Pond).

Did you actually go out, or did it online?

Physically went out to Tesco. I needed petrol too (they say 'gas' across the Pond).

Haven't (yet) found a way to order that online

We measure it in km. Should be walking distance

Here in the UK we have Centigrade, but our roads are still measured in miles (go figure).

Actually, I'm still up to walking five or six miles (8 or 9 Km) and have done in the recent past. Don't fancy carrying the shopping back though

    Edit: or the petrol....
