Last night, Gracie went out her door and started to bark. She wouldn't come back into the house, went up on her ledge and barked some more. I took the flashlight out and didn't see anything, so put it up and called her in. She came in, but made an immediate U-turn.

I got tired of the barking, so took the flashlight out again. This time I shined it up into the trees, and there was a raccoon stretched out on a limb, looking like he'd turned in for the night. He looked back at me and I told him to get off Gracie's tree. After a bit, he climbed down out of the tree and ambled off.

Gracie was happy; that nasty thing was out of her tree! She came in and the rest of the evening was peaceful . . .
