Be in your own psychedelic movie with VLC

Here's a fun time waster - all you need is VLC and a webcam (I have a USB Logitech C920).

connect webcam
open VLC
media > open capture device > video device > select your webcam
advanced options > set aspect 16:9 (or whatever), fps 30 (ditto) > ok
show more options > cache = 0 (prevents lag)
>> play

should now see yourself in VLC

click show extended settings (looks like eq sliders)
video effects tab > colors
check all RHS eg negate colors, posterise, gradient, color, cartoon (or other combination)
(there's also motion blur under advanced tab)

now you should be in your own psychedelic real-time music video !
