And I've had mine, thankyouverymuch! Was using cordless drill screwing tin to frame and bit slipped onto my thumb! Hurts like the dickens, but I think I'll live if it ever stops hurting!

It's hot out there too! Up to 90° and will probably get to 96° before the day's over.
    Ouch. Morning Afternoon Wynona.

Enjoy your day, watch out for the cat turning things off :)
Cats can do the craziest things!

Last night, Johnny told me to look where Lucy was . . . she was on top of the dryer. Oh, how cute! We've even found her bedded down on the clothes in the dryer when it was left open for a bit.

Later, Johnny called me to come help him. He was in the washroom (more of a closet, really) looking down at Lucy, who was beside the washing machine in about a 6" x 12" space and looking up at Johnny. Wow, now what??? She can jump from the floor to her tree in the living room, but there wasn't room for her to jump that high onto a pretty slick washing machine from where she was.

My arms weren't long enough to get her by the scruff of the neck; Johnny's were, but he's no longer strong enough to haul her up (she's gotten pretty grown up and quite heavy) after he had her. Back to the drawing board . . .

Every so often, Lucy would raise up with her front paws reaching up, but didn't stay that way long enough for me to grab her. Dangit! Finally, she was in the right position for me to grab her head (shudderrrr), which I did, then immediately grabbed an arm and let go of her head. Got my hands around her body and finally hauled her out!

    Yep, we closed that door

Yes, they are inquisitive and want to know everything about everything. From a cursory search, it seems scientists can't measure intelligence in a cat because they won't cooperate.

Lucy is partially trained, though. She understands and responds to "No" when she's doing something wrong. And, hearing "get off that," makes her get off it. She follows me like a dog; making every step I do. When I open the gate to come into the yard, I can tell her to come on in and she does. Even trotting to make sure she makes it before the gate is closed. Not that she needs to come in by the gate. In the morning when I get up, she "leads" me to her food bowl so I can put some treats into it. If I stop, she stops and looks back at me as if to say, "Come on, Mom!"

I'd say she's at least as smart as Gracie who is very smart indeed.
