    Morning simrick
Glad you caught one of the critters attacking your chickens Wynona.
My camera comes with a rubber cover. Doesn't do much for MIC. All they hear is me talking to myself.
I suggest to people that are concerned to use a folded piece cardboard. Also saw a suggestion to use a band-aid, keeps the sticky stuff off the camera.
    Afternoon Ken.

Wondering if anyone would care to input more on the cam being used by hackers thing? What if you keep a program open that is accessing the cam 24/7? Surely they cannot access it then?
I do keep a folded piece of cardboard over it when I am home just in case lol.
    Surely you jest!

Are your phone camera and microphone spying on you? | Dylan Curran | Opinion | The Guardian
You might even be on this website, InSeCam, which allows ordinary people online to watch surveillance cameras free of charge. It even allows you to search cameras by location, city, time zone, device manufacturer, and specify whether you want to see a kitchen, bar, restaurant or bedroom.
Are your laptop, phone camera and microphone spying on you? Why you should cover up your webcam | South China Morning Post
Edward Snowden revealed an NSA program called Optic Nerves. The operation was a bulk surveillance program under which they captured webcam images every five minutes from Yahoo users’ video chats and then stored them for future use. It is estimated that between 3 per cent and 11 per cent of the images captured contained “undesirable nudity”.
Ohio Man Charged With Putting Spyware On Thousands of Computers : All Tech Considered : NPR
Wardle also discovered it around the same time. His research led him to computers in people's homes. Many were in Ohio, but they were also as far away as California. Wardle says the hacker had access to a 24/7 surveillance device.
"He could detect when the user is not sitting in front of their computer," Wardle says. "Then (he could) turn the webcam on to hopefully record or spy on the user perhaps as they're walking around their bedroom or something in that capacity."

    Disable Windows Remote Access
Though most RATs deployed by malware are custom tools, disabling Windows Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop is one thing you can do to prevent hackers from remotely accessing your computer.
