    Afternoon and morning all.

We all know the weather, sticky. Windows have been shut for two days with AC set to 75F. House is comfortable, basement is cold.

Glad to hear Locky is coming along.

Wynona sounds like you will be able to start a new business getting rid of critters.

On the subject of critters, the deck neighbour said she saw a rat at the base of her bird feeder. A RAT !!!

Was reading you can hide rat poison in a 3 inch PVC pipe to keep cats and dogs away from it. Unfortunately Chipmunks would be able to get to it. Need to convince neighbour that you don't need to feed birds in summer. No food, no rats.

    Afternoon kado.

Yep, pretty freakin warm, but what can ya do? I'm just glad we have a spare AC unit just in case something happens. Pretty sure folks are going to be running to the stores to get them en masse today.

Here you go @kado897, pretty neat mailbox.

    Update

Caught a whopper of a raccoon last night. He almost didn't fit into the biggest trap! He now has joined his fellow criminals at the creek between here and the next town.

    Morning Ken.

Yeah, that can be a problem if you have excess food about. My Wife, now that she's home, was starting to feed them all day long. She can't do that because too much food lying around & the car starts to get covered with bird flop because they stick around all day.

Morning Ken. They say that in London you are never more than 10 yards from a rat.

We had peacocks when I was a kid. I love to hear them calling. Thing is, they wouldn't be safe until we get rid of the bad critters; they'd be eaten the first night.
I wouldn't think anything small would attack a peacock, but who knows, they might attract coyotes.

People in SoCali are at odds with neighbors who have those in their back yards. Some don't mind, but they do make noise in the early morns & folks that want to sleep are not happy. They do make a neat eerie type of call though.

I would love to have something like that, but knowing this area, it would probably get vandalized.
