Yep, that happens when you live in the woods. That's the reason I had the chainsaw, ya know. Had to cut a few gazillion small trees out of the front yard so Gracie wouldn't have to thread her way around.

Makes for lots of shade and critters.

We live next to a patch of woods so we get all kinds of critters stopping by for a visit. Yesterday morn there was a deer out on the back porch again, saw me & just moseyed off. They know I don't go after them, so I guess they're kind of used to me.

Well, you could always get some Peacocks. People get those for their yards, even in SoCali you could hear them squawking in the morns.

We had peacocks when I was a kid. I love to hear them calling. Thing is, they wouldn't be safe until we get rid of the bad critters; they'd be eaten the first night.
