    Driving question

If a person is at a "T" intersection and both are considered Main streets, the Horizontal part of the "T" at the street is
busy at rush hour. Cars were traveling from west to east.

At the vertical part of the "T" there is a stop sign where car car is stopped. The car wanted to take a left, How much
space in feet or yards should be considered to be enough before the the car taking the left pulls out to make the left
    turn?

A jack-rabbit start would be problematic but generally if I can see the other car's rear bumper in front of me a normal start movement should work. Only unknown would be something causing that car to stop or speed to drop off drastically.

In that case it would be necessary to know how long the cars are, how fast they are going. The best procedure is for the stopped car to wait for a break in traffic or for the car coming from the left to make a right turn providing sufficient clearance. But then maybe 10 feet or 10 meters would work?

10 feet? A car traveling at 25 mph will go 36.67 feet in 1 second.

But from a standing start? Our law enforcement gives tickets for that, called exhibition of speed.

Did I say from a standing start? If a car pulls out in front of a car that is doing 25mph your going to need way more than 10 feet of distance.
