Chicken Saga Update:

Last night, we caught a possum. I didn't think a possum would eat adult chickens, but from my research, it will! Dammit!

I texted Russ and the possum will shortly be headed to its new home somewhere in the boonies.

I took the trap up onto the driveway apron to wait for him. Lucy came out the back door and spotted the cage. Oh, my!

Every hair on her back stood up, her tail went into bottle brush mode, and her body went into stalking position. She sidled up to the trap, almost, but not close enough to get grabbed! She circled the trap, not getting closer than a couple feet, then finally decided the possum posed no threat and went on about her business.

I just now walked out to where I left the trap and it's gone. Bye, Bye, possum! We'll be bringing your relatives to your new home in the next few days, as we catch them.

Good point Wynona, as she can make some folks a little nervous.

Wondering if anyone would care to input more on the cam being used by hackers thing? What if you keep a program open that is accessing the cam 24/7? Surely they cannot access it then?

I do keep a folded piece of cardboard over it when I am home just in case lol.
