Yes, this was all over the news not too long ago.
All my cameras have black tape on them.

But....dam it, simrick is right, there is an option to turn the led lights off.....

Glad you caught one of the critters attacking your chickens Wynona.

My camera comes with a rubber cover. Doesn't do much for MIC. All they hear is me talking to myself.

I suggest to people that are concerned to use a folded piece cardboard. Also saw a suggestion to use a band-aid, keeps the sticky stuff off the camera.

Josey I know that, go back to sleep......when my cam is active, the Blue leds come on. Unless turned off.
