Good morning Joe. Glad things seem to be going pretty well for you. Computer problems are just a given. They all have gremlins in them.

    Yep
My living room computer was found to be dead on one of my brief visits to my home when I was hospitalized.

Dead SSD so I replaced it but there is a lot of work putting Windows back on - especially when you are as fussy as I am.

My PC is 9 years old. Always complete backups on my 2nd data drive :)

I use two backup programs on all of my computers and do a backup almost every day
    They have been lifesavers.
Yes, I have nothing better to do.

Hi Joe. Every day is probably a little overkill. But, In my opinion, you can't have too many backups.

Back in XP days, I never did backups. I had a hard drive failure and lost everything. It cost me some money but I also lost some family stuff I will never be able to replace.

I have my data and my OS on separate drives. I use Robocopy to back up my data and Macrium for OS backups. I use 3 external hard drives which are never connected to the PC when not doing backups and I alternate drives for each backup. I usually backup twice a week. That system works well for me and has saved me on numerous occasions. I may be going a little overboard, but after losing everything I vowed it would never happen to me again. So far, so good.
