    Afternoon and morning all.

    Happy Thursday.

Borg I know you are probably gone but I do wish you well getting this whole situation resolved. Very stressful.

Very humid here, went from winter to summer. Just about AC time.

Yes I always read back and it takes time, I follow links, check findings. Ask myself why?

So the question this morning, why are some so driven to shut off Cortana. I don't use the verbal piece but I search my PC.

    Your gentle thoughts?
I only use the search feature of Cortana Ken. I just don't use the verbal part same as you.
Most of the time thou I use "Everything" Search.

I suppose if you have Complete TRUST in Microsoft, and don't mind them tracking everything you do, its not an issue.

I do not have any Trust in MS and I will not allow MS to dictate to me what I can use or not use. Their end game is to become an Online OS ..Like a Chrome Book. I have most of their Apps removed.

    Not following.

Andre you said search is still working and Mike and Josey said they use the search (at least I think they did).

So is it when Cortana is enabled search terms are sent to MS?

I would think if we wanted to block all MS we would be using that tool that Access Denied posted a few days back.

Don't get me wrong, I don't trust the big tech house to protect our privacy and I'm concerned about security. As such I don't use cloud storage nor cloud password managers. My regular search engine is DuckDuckGo but telling MS that I searched Event Viewer in Cortana does not hit a chord with me.

I also set Cortana not to listen.

Well, I can hear you Ken. It's Don Quijote's fight, but one can get better feeling about it... And could be security risk

On the fun side of life some pranksters hung this car 5 stories up. They attached a winch to bridge, that took balls, this bridge is a long way up.
