No fireplace here, just my furnace, only takes me about 1 min to turn it back on and get it running. :)
A lot of people here run oil furnaces & I think it's a PIA to turn on/shut down, or it takes some doing. Couldn't tell you for sure. Ours is gas so it comes right on when you turn the temp up on the thermostat.

Oil furnace's are easy to turn off/on :) I've got 2 different ways to turn it off. Plus this furnace is still very new as I just had it installed only about 4 years ago, to replace my older one.

You have a variety of furnaces here, oil, gas, wood pellets, some folks even still use coal.

Our place used to have a coal furnace, still have a door to deliver it on the side of our basement. Behind the walls you can see coal dust in some areas.

I was looking back thru old pics of desktops I had taken over the years. Back in mid to late 2000's I would have only 3-5 icons in the system tray. Flash forward to today. I have 18

One of the neighbors friend called me/brought me a laptop she had loaned out to someone for a couple years.

She uses that one basically to hook up to her computerized sewing machine & feed it patterns she d/l s from a site, or she can create her own.

I was expecting Win 7, maybe XP, but not Vista.

It had a couple toolbars & some junk, but all in all not too bad. Pretty old lappy, didn't even have a wi-fi option.
