Morning Josey. Getting any good weather there?

Yeah, yesterday was nice, decided to risk going out on the hill & spray some sticker bushes/sprouting trees with plant killer.

Messed up my leg, pulled something in my calf, it's better today but was worth it (I guess), then damn sticker bushes were already 3 feet+ long. Don't want the whole hillside covered in sticker bushes.
It is going to rain again.

Was reading an article in paper today about Rogers email. Rogers is a cable company in Canada.

They use Yahoo mail and as part of the consolidation into Oath (Verizon rebranding) people are being asked to agree to new Terms of service.

One of those terms is that Verizon will read your mail to support advertising, nothing new gmail has been at it for years. The one that caught some peoples attention is that by agreeing to the terms you are agreeing that Verizon can scoop your friend's email address and send them email with offers. Of course they stipulate the offers won't be spam.

Okay, its officially gone to far. Friends can't agree for me. Facebook just found that out. Here is where I hope the governments step in a say enough is enough.
I doubt it, being that you're using their equipment, they have certain rights they'll push on you & they can make the rules. If you don't like their TOS, they'll say "just switch to someone else."

I have Verizon & they stopped hosting E mails on their main site, they switched everyone over to AOL mail, which they bought some time back. Of course that came with a new TOS contract & now I occasionally get E Mails that offer me their "system cleaner" & other useless #$%^&.

    Morning AD.

Yes it is getting bad but any lawyer knows another person can't agree for someone else.

    Afternoon Keith.

    Morning TC, Josey and Borg

Well Verizon is back with Oath, (AOL +Yahoo).

Oath Well the name sounds like you could trust them.

I always recommend to people to get off Yahoo (Rogers) as well. People don't understand how easy it is so they procrastinate for ever.

I know how you feel Ken. I noticed when using google dns on my pc, I would later in the evening when off the pc and reading "cards" on my android, it would show me what I had been browsing all day for the most part.
Oh yes, they want to know all about you.

BTW, recently it was announced that if you were wearing a Fitbit that was connected to the net, it showed up all over, even the classified military bases that were blacked out on most maps. Everyone's watching nowadays.

Yeah, that made me mad when they switched to AOL for your mail needs. You're a damn ISP & you won't host E Mail accts anymore? They're too focused on the mobile sector, that's what they're trying to make a big grab for now.

Mike, hate to tell you, but we're in Daylight Savings Time now. I've found it's easier just to say "Eastern Time" all year 'round, and not worry about it.

I just had a read of the new privacy policy and I don't find that in there. Did the article quote this? Do you have the link to the article?

Well I thought that is what I did say ....EST is Eastern Time Zone, which means to me, 1pm for most of the updates I get from Mickey Soft.
