They have loosened rules slightly here, like pharmacists are allowed to give shots.

How much medical training does a PA perform?

I can only imagine how if something went wrong it would play out in a US court. I called to see my doctor, the person that trained for years and went to med school, but when I got there I saw Kenny. He said I was fine. Two months later a person is hospitalized and they they tell their lawyer Kenny , not the doctor saw them.

Nurse are wonderful and I've met a few who I think are more competent than the doctor.

    Bye Borg.

A physician assistant (US) or physician associate (UK) is a healthcare professional who practices medicine as a part of a healthcare team with supervising physicians and other providers. In the United States, PAs are nationally certified and state licensed to practice medicine.

My husband's heart doc has a PA. She's quite knowledgeable, and if she runs up against something she can't answer or take care of, she doesn't hesitate to call in the "real" doc. We've seen PAs for years, most of whom go on to become docs. I think it may be something like an internship in a hospital, but they don't put in the 24/7 hours an intern does.

I had one PA who worked with my GP, but went on to become a cancer specialist. So, they have the proper medical training or they wouldn't be allowed to actually treat patients.

    Afternoon and morning all

Sun is shining here but still cold. 99% of snow gone, for second time this year.

That $3000 bill would be a shock, obviously your heart is okay.

Not sure what to get into today apart from my standard Saturday chores.
    Afternoon Ken
