Good morning Ken, I got plenty of snow left....I'll send you some :)
I was wondering how if you still had a bunch of that. Maybe you'll get a good melting streak.

Lab tests can get messed up in a heartbeat! 380.12 is TSH test, 380.13 is pregnancy.
Yeah, it can be a freaking mess sometimes.

Talking to the ins, then to the billing place, I told them about the wrong code used & they said "no, we used the right one."

I told them well, this is what the ins told me, here is the number, you might want to call them because there's no way we can pay this & we shouldn't have to if there's a billing error.

I didn't see what you had yesterday. Was a busy day, my Wife had doc appts, we got a bill for over $3000 for medical tests. Had to call the ins on that one, turns out the billing dept submitted it with the wrong code so that's a relief. I figured it was something like that, but talk about shock when I opened & saw the bill
Morning Borg. Never had any that high but I've been getting a lot of small ones along with everybody else that uses the local Hospital. Their Billing Department is a Total Cluster Fork They put the wrong code on about half of what they send in

Then to make things even worse, when they changed to all electronic billing, they found bills from 5-10 years ago (Maybe more) they never sent out to the patients and turned them over to the collection agency There's a 3 Year prescription period on open medical accounts, but that's not stopping the Collection Agency from harassing people trying to collect

Fortunately Lafayette isn't that much farther a drive versus Opelousas

"they" probably did use the right code, as in what they were told to use. THEY wouldn't know the correct code from an avocado! One of my "billing places" has a very efficient Robo-Mailer that automatically sends me a Pay-up-or-Die notice 2 freakin' weeks after the appointment! I advised them multiple times that that was somewhat UN-realistic.....they could not comprehend. Sad.....

Yeah, too many damn errors that can happen.

When my Wife was in a coma for 2 months at a hospital, they transported her there from the local one using Life Flight, they couldn't use a helicopter because of all the equipment that was keeping her alive.

So about 6 months later we get a letter from a collection agency. The bill for the Life Flight didn't go through with the ins & instead of notifying us about it, they just sent ti to a collection agency.

I called them, turned out to be their error & they were like "Oh....sorry about that"

I had to have them write letters to all the credit agencies to get that black mark off our credit records.
