I have a script that will remove EDGE but it is unclear what would happen when the next CU comes around. I tried it once then reverted back using MR. I would not recommend it.

Keith, MS hides the Flash update as an installed KB (kinda KB )

Even if you leave it on it asks before use. Not that I use Edge but I turned it off anyway. I've also turned it off in my default browser Chrome and rarely have any issues these days.
