    Afternoon Keith.

They changed funding. They did agree they would do advertising but now we are so late we can't get folks in time. They talk about empowering but they really are working old school. Beside they treat us as children. They told me the program would develop my leadership skills. I've been managing people since 1979 and finished my career as an exec. From the review they gave me last year my program, which is seven years old, is one of the most best.

I told them I would stay on as a volunteer, I do enjoy helping and teaching.

Good to hear Mike. You've had enough winter. Have you noticed you get most of your bad winter weather from Florida and not Canada, okay, we throw the cold into the recipe.
They are probably snotty nosed kids straight out of university running it.

    Afternoon Andre.

No they are "Experienced" managers. The new lady looking after the program started in September. I thought it was January. This was her first team meeting after seven months and she openly admitted she didn't know much about the overall program. My component has held twenty two classes in that time frame and she hasn't even tried to schedule a visit.

    Onward and upwards.

It sounds like she just does not care.

Thanks Wynona, some very good info there
Yeah, that's why I posted it. Contrary to most of what I post, I read this one thoroughly, because I have an interest in it. So, following advice within the article, I don't think I'm going to let Flash back on my computer.

Firefox blocks it by default (Firefox 59) . I liked the part about the hacked PC

Ken, if you could find another sponsor and a place to hold your classes, I'd go that route. It's a shame that people like this "manager" (and I say that advisedly) know nothing about a program such as this and look down their noses at the good work being performed by folks like you.

It looks like my seniors are going to get the same scenario; IT says Windows 10 won't install on their current machines, and the Mayor has said no to upgrading to Windows 10 machines. So, I'm going to look for another route too. It's a shame that seniors are treated so shabbily by the powers that be.

And I guess I'll shut up, but it just makes me so angry ...

Edit: From experience here in TenForums, I absolutely know Windows 10 will install on those machines; however, the Manager's hands are tied, or she would allow me to prove my point.

You haven't got much choice. Microsoft pushes it to you for IE & Edge, and if you use Chrome it's embedded too.

FF has been blocking Flash for quite some time ... way back before what we have now.

I don't use either Edge or Chrome. :) So, I guess I need to search it out and eliminate it? Or will MS allow me to do that?
