    Help with Ebuyer.com

Anyone ever have dealings with Ebuyer.com when using their RMA system.

To save time typing agsin I have included some of the email I have sent to the managing director of the company.

The item in question is a Zotac GTX 1080ti Amp Extreme

I purchased the above referenced item from Ebuyer.com about 10 months ago and up to a few weeks ago (when fault was suspected) all was great. Without getting in to much details of the fault discovered, I found that this card suffered a catastrophic failure (Zotacs word once I shown them the photos). As I purchased this item from Ebuyer.com I started the RMA process to have the card replaced (As per the 5 year warranty provided by Zotac). I was emailed this day (22-02-18) that indeed the card was faulty and I have been partially refunded. I called the customer services to find out more about this in which I spoke to a member of your staff called Laura (Called from my mobile @ 12:25 on 22/02/18 and call ended 21 minutes and 13 seconds later). When asked about this refund I was quoted the "Sales of Goods Act 1979" which in this case has been superseded by the "Consumer Rights Act 2015". After a short conversation in which I informed Laura that I do not accept this resolution / Offer and told her that I wanted my Card back as this still belong to me I was told that the card has now been destroyed and I will have to take the offer. I have been in contact with Zotac about this and they are happy to replace this card by using their RMA and to receive if found faulty (from the photos I have sent them and emails they are OK with this) I would receive a new replacement card. I have agreed with Laura to give to the end of Friday (23/02/18) to see what can be done before escalating this higher and exercising my consumer rights through legal avenues open to me. I had great hopes that the UK's leading online electrical retailers would do the right thing by its customer in by validating the fault of the card and sending the replacement to me in a timely manner without any issue and then calming this against Zotac under its warranty. I am hoping that contacting you in regards to this unacceptable matter would bring a resolution quickly and fairly with not further actions required.

To sum things up, I bought the Zotac 1080 Ti Amp Extreme, It failed a shot while after, Under Zotac's warranty it would be replaced, Ebuyer would be reimbursed by Zotac and all parties would be happy.

Thank you for taking the time to read this

    Kind Regards

    Mr A Mitchell

Yes. I only agreed to RMA it if the fault was validated which it was that a replacement was sent. No refund asked for nor wanted. Zotac is happy for me to RMA to them for replacement.

    Hi,
Okay yeah that's how I read it :/
That's going to be a tough cookie to rma to Zotac now if they did indeed destroy it not sure why they would do that so quickly
Also with prices and availability the way they are it's an all and all bad deal
Might followup with Zotac and see if they can sell you one seeing the situation since you already got the prorated refund :/
Your followup to ebuyer or issue then can be on the difference in price you're out of pocket ?

If they had destroyed it then how would they gets credit from Zotac for the refund. I asked her that and was told that's none of my business lol. That is still my card so they had no rights of destroying it and if they did they now due me a new card. Bet Zotac would not help me in what you suggested but may be worth a shot. Hi,
In any dispute there has to be losses and they have to be established losses not estimated
Your time is the only estimated loss dealing with ebuyer.

Money losses are replacing the card however that is finally done
Heck of a pickle no doubt
I guess you know one thing for sure ebuyer is off the list for rma's
