In six provinces, Ontario being one, you can buy alcohol at age 18, cigarettes at 19. I think they are proposing you have to be 21 to buy weed when it becomes legal.

Drink till you puke but we don't want to harm your developing brain. One of the reason to legalize weed was to drive the black market out of Canada for weed. That said we will need a few shady characters to support the 21 and less crowd.

Not sure if weed will ever be legal here

I am making the most of sugar/salt before they become a banned substance

Called "The Beer Store" customer service today. They said one of my gift cards was cashed February 1st. The other card has cash. I told them the code lines don't match receipts. They sounded puzzled. The card that was cashed was cashed over an hour and half away. Gift cards and fraud were made for one another.

Now they send to head office and they start investigation over. Looks like I have a 2018 project lined up, LOL.

For those that don't understand Ontario's antiquated beer laws. We buy beer at "The Beer Store" to prevent us from becoming alcoholics. After about forty years of trying to wrestle this away from "The Beer Store" monopoly we are now able to buy in a limited number of grocery stores. You can buy twelves and sixes, no twenty fours. To much beer and you become an alcoholic.

The thing is "The Beer Store" is owned by three of the biggest brewers in the world and they are a major contributor to the political parties. That can't have anything to do with with our laws, no way.
    Morning Ken.

Was just searching on Canadian drinking laws, came across a site and this comment on the home page made be chuckle

A destination for those who like beer, who like craft beer, and who like to brew beer. We would have more content, but halfway though setting up the page, we went to the pub for a beer...

I used to work for a company owned by a Canadian brewer, Molson. Crap beer.
