I have used it off and on TC. I am not a fan of the GUI, but I like that it plays videos in excellent quality and there almost is no video or audio codec it can't read. It seems like 'if VLC won't play it, just delete it. You don't have a chance'.

This re-write states it now uses hardware codecs, whatever the H that means! :) But you're right, if it ain't VLC-able, it just ain't!
