I have a Mac and when I get with Mac users they usually state they use a Mac because it can't be infected. I always correct them and point to stories of Macs being infected inside Apple. I will have to keep this one.

    Morning Josey.
Well, fortunately they issued a fix a year ago. But still it boggles the mind that some of these exploits go on for years & years without being discovered. Or at least disclosed. I've read that any tech the US sells to foreign nations has fail safe exploits in it that can render it useless in the event it's turned against the issuer. Other countries do this as well.

Fruitfly was discovered a year ago by security firm Malwarebytes, forcing Apple to issue a malware signature update -- which protected users by locking the alleged malware controller out of his victims' computers for good.

Time to head out, my Wife made plans & now she's mad about having to leave the house.

Hence one of my rules....never commit to anything if you've had a drink or 2. Never.

You all have a good day & take care. :)

    Afternoon kado.

Well, I didn't want to say anything because you know how that goes (Murphy's Law ) but it never progressed very far since she got the Tamiflu & she was feeling much better by Tuesday. I did talk to the pharmacist & he says yes, it starts working immediately.

On another note, my Pulmonologist told me the nasal spray I was prescribed would be best used 1 spray up each nostril 1X a day instead of 2 sprays like the doc wrote on it. I haven't actually used it yet, but glad I ran it past my pulmonologist.
    That's good.

Probably because Macs don't get malware.

Josey my Mac is used to keep my skills up. People call with issues or questions and I can try things in real world.
That is a good idea, if you happen to fix Computers or MAC's. They seem to be quite expensive. I replaced and upgraded all of my Daughter's Grade School Macs when she was in grade school. Hardware wise they looked to be build very good but most of the parts are proprietary. I found a seller of MAC parts and save the school a great deal of money as they were going to buy them from Apple. I saw that an I-Mac was $5,000.00 ...

$5000 is like the "Starting at" price for the iMac Pro. This year they announced one at $13,000.

I bought mine used, still excellent shape, i7 with 750 GB storage. Great for what I need and I do dabble in fixing / training and setting up computers, phones and tablets.

Ha! I would never pay 13,000 USD for an IMac Pro. I would not pay that much for an PC or Mac.
