This is disk shot from my new build. When I installed Windows only the M.2, where C: lives, was installed. Interesting order that it laid down partitions and no partitions are marked "Active". First time using M.2. I'm not using Sata, configured as NVMe.

Those using M.2's does this look right?

    Attachment 172238

    Thanks
Looks similar to my layout Ken, only difference Windows made my C: disk #2 instead of #0 , used to be at #0 but a Windows update changed it. Still everything runs fine.

Thanks Mike. Appreciate you taking time to post your disk shot.

Interesting. I always thought one had to be marked active. I also noticed that we both don't have the MSR partitions which I believe are there so when the system reserve needs space it can snag some.

Have you ever tried to expand the EFI partition?

I'm going to Macrium the system and decide next steps.

I think only MBR boot partitions need to be marked active.
