That uu gear pogo pin hub for the 3A A looks Ok. I bought my A+ and 3A+ for the form factor / outline. Its basically a Hat sized Zero, sort of kind of.

I saw that clock on hackaday a while a go. Just to lazy to post it. I go to hackaday probably at least once a day just for a look see. I bet there are some interesting sounds when that changes time.

It looks like the new but not officially anounced Pimoroni Breakout Garden modules will be SPI, https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/0...60x80-breakout
Did a little cleanup reordering of hardware today. Was looking over my motion eye cameras and noticed I had my new 3B+ hooked up to a version 1 camera and my 3B hooked up to a V2 camera. Not sure how that happened but fixed now. New with new old with old.
I have one setup using this smart pi case, https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/s...r-raspberry-pi I have to say I likely won't ever buy another one. The status light view hole isn't even close to where the LED's are, even when you have 3B in with the LEDs on the matching side the view hole is on. Might sound like nit picking but it has other things that just don't do it for me. God help you if you ever have to take the camera back out of its snap fit case. It's a job and half to do it without breaking a tab off of scratching all up. Plus put the camera on with the lego and it pointing straight up at the ceiling? And that case does not like being stood on it end.
It looks cool and seemed like a good idea at the time.

I bought a couple of the BME680 breakouts, and 1 of the time of flight ones. Not all that interested in the Breakout Garden Hat or pHat though. I'm thinking the Hat was something they geared up for testing the breakouts and then they decided to actually sell it. Best guess anyway.

Yes, that case was originally made for the older Pi's. A model 3 fits in it no problem, you just can't see the power or status led. Even with a model two the hole they made doesn't really line up all that well. It should have been lower. I didn't notice it was too high until I made a matching hole on the other side. I just mirrored the one that was there. I should have made my new hole lower down. I'm using it, for the time being. I'll likely get something better eventually.

Just got my tech support e-mail from Pimoroni. They are going to replace the Arduino and Zumo shield for me no charge. I asked for a new reflectance sensor bar too. I'm pretty sure its damaged. I'll never get the header unsoldered from the current shield anyway. It was beginning to bum me out wondering if it was my fault of not. Happy now. =)

I was kind of expecting "something" new to be anounced over the Pi Birthday weekend? Nothing big mind you, but something new from the Pi Foundation.
There were some deals to be had, Pimoroni had a sale on. I didn't have any money to take advatage of it though. A few other retailers likely did the same thing.
