I'm really likeing my LED Shim Barometric Pressure indicator on my indoor weather clock. One quick glance and I know if its high or low. And how low etc. My eyes have trouble telling green from yellow some times but the way I have it coded makes it easy to tell one range from the other. If I see a couple of Blue dots at the top I know its Green and in the Mid range. A couple of Red dots at the bottom means its yellow and in the low band. I tried a White marker but went to a Black one. Way easier to see, for me anyway. I just turn that LED off (0, 0, 0) for the color
Been watching it slowly drop overnight. Its just into the high end of the low pressure band. 1002 mb. I'll try to get a picture but my camera gets all messed up by the blinky lights and they bloom in the pictures. Plus I have no idea what all the setings etc do on it. Irony is my father is a professional photographer. He turns all the auto stuff off and goes totally manual. For me its factory defaults and don't mess with something you don't know, lol. About the only thing I do is turn the flash off and turn the beep off, lol
Snow should start any time now. I'll be going for my morning walk in 15 or so. Once the sun comes up and I can see where I'm going.

I was wanting to get a pic of it lit up but it just blooms badly on my camera. The black difusser I have in front of the LED Shim might be partialy responsable. No SLR stuff here, just your average digital camera. It prety well does what i need it to.

Looks like the snow missed us. Fine by me. =) Friging cold outside though. Took my dog for a short walk in the woods. Berr

    The Raspberry Pi Thread [4]-dscf1229.jpg

Found a picture of the one I installed on my portable, its the exact same layout as my indoor one.
Also found a video I made of it in operation, that I forgot I had. It's showing the temperature with the white marker. Must have been right after I got it running.

Sitting here enjoying my classic rock on my custom Pirate Radio (Internet radio) setup. It's in the other bedroom but I have it cranked up enough that I can hear it without pissing off my wife in the living room.
With my Motion Eye OS Pi's making sure nobody sneaks up on my lol. I have seven Raspberry Pi's running doing their thing. Their thing being what I wanted them to do. which I believe is the whole point.
There may also be some rum & coke in the "mix", lol.
On the plus side I fell pretty good compared to my normal pain level this time of the day. Plus I don't indulge every day, usually just weekends. And I don't take any pills if I'm drinking. My doctor is actually pretty cool with it. Every thing in moderation.

Hey Jack, if you do find a use for your LED Shim I'd be more than happy to help with the python code, "if " you want? It can be more satisfying if you do it on your own though. And more frustrating. I have to admit to using a lot of Googled code over the years. I have learned from it though. Once I figured out why they did what they did. Pluses and minuses.

Going to get this, https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/telephoto-lens for one of my Pi camera setups. And see how it works out. I have one setup that has the camera in a wire frame. That should just clip on no problem. It will be interesting to see what the actual image looks like through the camera.
