The Pi foundation cases look really nice, IMHO anyway. Not all that functional really though, when you actually try to put them to good use.
The 3B case is a bit of a PITA to connect a GPIO ribbon cable too. No cooling vents at all if you us all the covers. Also not sure what the picture fram cover was for? My sense hat wouldn't fit inside without dremeling some plastic off.
The official Zero case also looks nice. No Micro SD card access though? PITA to take the Pi out to swap cards. No light pip for the status LED either? I end up drilling holes in the top cover so i can se it. Also had to modify the camera cover to get my official camera module to snap in tightly.
To be honest I wasn't a big fan of the PIBOW cases when they first came out. Warming up to them now that you can get the all black ninja ones. Might even buy one of the red ones. Not a big fan of the rainbow ones though. Other than the Zero ones, at least you can get access to the SD card. Also a nice solid platform to mount Hats on. The latest ones have holes predrilled for stand offs. The early ones didn't. Cutouts for the heat sinks too, other than the zero Pibows.
Waiting for my last order to show up. Shipped on the 23rd of Nov. I have no idea where it is, tracking stoped when it entered Canada. Last order from Pimoroni took 16 days. Usually its 10 to 13 days.

Yeah, its hurry up and wait time, lol.
This order has more Chritmas stuff I can't play with anyway. But also a few odds and ends to finish up some things I started but needed more parts to finish. Nothing that can't wait so I'm trying not to think about it too much.

There are two more of those motors in that order lol. These are 298:1 instead of the 50:1 I passed on to you.
I ordered them for this, https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/z...-kit-no-motors Slower speed but way less likely to ever stall.
Also ordered this, https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/z...r-arduino-v1-2. My Arduino Uno should be a perfect fit. Once I'm done playing with it.
I can see me ordering a second UNO at some point, or a Due or Mega maybe.

IMHO, the only way to get proficient in Python is to just keep pluging away at it. Syntax error > Google, new different syntax error > Google, wash rinse and repat, lol.

Got an email from element14 yesterday with a coupon for 20% off. Went to their site and tried to order a Pi 3 B+. The price started out at $35 and after I applied the discount, went down to $33.25. That's only 5%, not 20% as the price should have gone down to $28. Anyway, went back and read the fine print for the coupon and saw that Raspberry Pis were excluded from the discount. Boo!

My Pimoroni order just arrived. I'll pull the few things I need now out and put it away with my other Arduino stuff to go under the Christmas tree. New 3A+ in there along with a Pibow coup Ninja case for it. I may put that together and boot it up to make sur it works etc. I don't have a dedicated project in mind for it yet so it can go under the tree too.
