didn't bother with it yet , I was on Pimoroni forums and seen you post about having issues with pi3+ and something your trying to do,, and needing a Pi 3, they still have them on Raspberry Pi in Canada [ Raspberry Pi 3 - Model B - ARMv8 with 1G RAM - Raspberry Pi in Canada ] ,but if your interested in a sway i could go for that ...

Finally found the release notes, http://downloads.raspberrypi.org/ras...ease_notes.txt
Got the link from here, [Unofficial announcement] Raspbian - October 2018 version - Raspberry Pi Forums
Link on the download page doesn't have the new info for what ever reason.

A swap is fine, assuming their isn't something wrong with the 3B+? I don't think there is, just not 100% sure? I'm pretty sure its a combination of Motion Eye and a 3B+. My other two Motion Eye 3B's work just fine with no issues. I lost the connection to the 3B+ yesterday, had to power cycle it. I "thought" it was working OK after swapping SD Cards. Then I noticed, if I watched it long enough it occasionally still lost the connection. It just recovered on its own as I had changed some settings to help make it do that.
I think I may just swap out Motion Eye and run Raspbian on it to see if anything shows up as not working correctly. My other 3B+ is in my bread board rig. Haven't used it a whole lot but its OK as far as I know? I don't remeber ever having any issues with it while setting it up and updating it.
Haven't tried the new Raspbian images, only just downloaded them. I'll be imaging some cards today some time and testing it out this week some time.

EDIT: Adafruit also still sells 3B's.

Alpha, are you using 5Ghz on your 3B+?
If so, did you try switching to 2.4Ghz and had the same issue?

Motion Eye won't connect on 5Ghz, so I'm using 2.4. All three are on 2.4Ghz. 5Ghz works on that Pi when its running Raspbian though, just won't work in Motion Eye. Which makes me think my issue is with Motion Eye and the WIFI chip on the 3B+. His forum is basically useless though. He only seems to reply to select issues. He doesn't like any kind of negative comments either. Thats how he comes across to me anyway. If I had another spare 3B it would be swapped in there in place of the 3B+. I'll be ordering one at some point, likely Christmas. Then repurpose the 3B+ for something else. I'm going to try and load the new Raspbian up on it today some time. Tomorrow at the latest. Maybe I just got a dud 3B+?

Try setting up the 3B+ as internet radio and.see if it has wifi issue. Otherwise, it's the motion eye problem.

Just imaging my card as I type this. Will do the setup, update, upgrade over 5G and see how that goes. Then go from there.

Just booted it up. The new quick setup menu seems to be usable now. You have to look for the "use US keyboard" option / checkbox but at least its there. The language drop down only had English Canada and French Canada, no English US. After setting my country as Canada. Then I noticed a separate check box for use US keyboard. It also prompts to change the default password. Auto updates too.
Right now I'm just watching a stream from one of the other motion eye cameras from a browser on that 3B+. Just a quick and dirty test. Really sore today so I likely won't do much more with it today.

I think there is something wrong with that Pi 3B+? I put the newest Raspbian on it and it totally locked up some time this morning. Had been running fine for 12+ hours.
It updated fine etc. I then opened a browser to a stream from one of my other Motion Eye cameras and just left it running all night. Activity LED was flashing all night and this morning. Just got back from my morning walk and turned on the monitor and its totally frozen. Can’t move the cursor and the image on screen is frozen in time. Power and Activity LED are both on steady. Really glad I didn't trade this one for one of Jack's 3B's. Last thing I want to do is pass on defective hardware.

Exact opposite with the video stream on my pi camera. Even if I stop the stream manually (by command line), the next morning it is streaming again by itself.
Did you install heat sink on your 3B+? My suspicion is overheating.
