I don't think I'll be doing much Pi stuff today. Lots of yard work and "put it away for the Winter" stuff to do. Just unbolted the frame for my Gazebo. Had to crawl under my deck to undo the bolts. Its was originally made to be tied down with tent pegs etc. Its kind of for camping. I bolt it down so the wind can't pick it up and destroy it. Coleman Instant Canopy with Screen Walls, 12 x 10-ft | Canadian Tire
I took all the cloth panels off a couple of days ago. We had some high winds etc. I new I was going to be taking it in for the winter anyway. I'll be taking the panels one at a time out on my deck to dry in the sun, then fold them up and pack them away. Back is already killing me from crawling under the deck. Need to mow the lawn and trim some bushes etc too. Take the garden hose in and generally clean up around the yard. Having a cup of java first though.

My latest Pi project involved installing a version of Raspbian called OctoPi which is a custom install of software called OctoPrint for use with 3D printers.

The first 2 pictures show screenshots of OctoPrint which is run from within a browser. I can start/stop/control/monitor my 3D printer remotely via a web browser. No longer need to be at the printer nor does the printer need to be physically attached to my computer. The second screenshot shows the camera shot of the print which allows me to keep an eye on the print as it progresses. You can see the spider I printed for my daughter for Halloween.

The next 2 pics are of the case I 3D printed for the Pi (3 B+) and how it is attached to the printer. There is a hole for a cooling fan that I have on order but hasn't arrived yet.

After switching to a 16 gig Sandisk Micro SD card my 3B+ motion eye setup seems to be running fine now. Its been on all day for 2 days now with no lockups. Will leave it on 24/7 and see what happens. I've been turning it off at night. I think thats the same Lexar card I was having issues with in my AIY Pi setup. Will run some diagnostics on it when I get a chance. I likely won't ever use it again anyway though as its suspect now in my books.

My problematic Pi 3B+ Motion Eye Camera ran all night without issue. Thats almost 24 hours. 20+ anyway. I'll leave it on all day today too but it looks like it was that Lexar card or maybe even those Lexar cards? My 3B+ doesn't seem to like the Lexar cards. I had a 32 gig and a 16 gig in it and both gave me issues. The same 16 gig Lexar cards in my two 3B's are working fine though? Knock on wood.
Will have to hunt up a utility to check them for errors etc though. Latter today maybe, have to grab a shower and take the cat to the vet first.
