I think you've posted that link before. I don't know if I have the budget for some of that stuff? Although, if I add up what I spent so far I probably could have gone with something better and more expensive than what I'm using now. This track kit is only 17.50 Canadian. I just have to wait till I have a few other items to order to make the shipping worth it. Right now the 4 motors, explorer phat and Pi Zero are just sitting there collecting dust. I have to get another powerboost too. I have to robe the one from that rover to replace the one that died in my portable weather clock.

No need to delete it. I've reposted links many times. We're on page 90 of the 4th Pi thread. I think they lock them at 200 pages. So that's 690 pages or so. If stuff was only ever posted the once I'd never find it lol.

Looks like its going to be a nice day for a change. My dog stayed out all night which is a good sign. First time she's done that this year. Usually around 4AM I hear the I want in bark. Nice blue skies and 10c or so. Hmm, no seeing by breath this morning when we go for the morning walk, lol. First day of summer is approaching and its still just barely spring like weather.
Anyway, I can't order any new stuff for a while so I guess I'll have to get back to my currently in progress projects and try and finish some stuff off. I can always play with my Micro Bit if I get bored too. There were all kinds of things I "was going to do" with those and didn't.
My wife has a doctors appointment in the middle of the day that might eat up some of my free time. Supposed to go up to 22c today so I may get to tinker a bit after supper. I'll just have to see how the day goes.

Well I'm out on my deck under my gazebo and actually doing some Pi related stuff. Its 17c so not so bad, a hot cup of java helps.
    I bought one of these Adafruit I2S 3W Class D Amplifier Breakout - MAX98357A Adafruit I2S 3W Class D Amplifier Breakout - MAX98357A ID: 3006 - $5.95 : Adafruit Industries, Unique fun DIY electronics and kits
Its supposed to give you stereo out of the Google AIY kit. It solders right in to headers already there. I figured I better test it before my 30 day return runs out. Just hooked it up to my bread board Pi and did the install and test. I hear the front left front right so I guess its good to go.

Next step is to get my soldering iron out and solder it onto the AIY board. And get another cup of coffee.

I soldered the amp to my AIY board and soldered the stereo jumper on the board. Can't test it out here, don't have a monitor to hook up etc.

Hmm, now I have to figure out how to get the analog audio back as source on my bread board Pi? It wants to use i2s now? No sound from my speakers?

Got my sound back. I went to the detailed instructions for installing it and did the reverse. Where they said remark out, I unremarked. And where they said add this, I deleted it. Three file edits I believe. Speaker test works and it shows Analog and HDMI as sound options. =)

There is an uninstalling section, GitHub - pimoroni/speaker-phat: Software installer for Speaker pHAT
The pinout shows it uses the same pins my breakout board uses. I think its the same chip used on the speaker pHat. Its i2s anyway, for the sound part, and i2c for the vu meter. I can tell you what I edited to get my stock audio back if you want?
