Yeah, my plan is to pull that one pin out of the male header before I solder it to the pHat Stack. That will make it unconnected. It's just a reset PIN for the Drum pHat. A software reset. If things change and I need it I'll just put it back in and solder it. I was going to use a Drum pHat, and Touch pHat together but they both use the same i2c address. =(

Aside from the one pad that doesn't work, how are those drum hat pads sensitivity wise? Do you have to touch right in the middle? Also will a light touch work?

Ah OK, good sensitivity, that's what I wanted to hear, thanks. I'm still in the mulling over how I want to do it phase. It something I'd like to do a little down the road. I got the idea to do it last night. I have a friend who's wife had a stroke. She can't speak very well, just few words really. My plan is to have the Speaker pHat say common words like Yes, No, thank you, etc, depending on what pad was touched. She has good use of one arm. That's why I wanted the drum pHat and touch pHat, more options. For her the piano pHat would likely just confuse things.

Looks like with a little hardware modification I can change the i2c address of the Cap1188 chip on the Touch pHat or Drum Hat. Once I do that they won't have i2c address conflicts. =) In theory that means you could use two or more Drum Hats etc at the same time. I may have to do some file edits and or software mods but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I think what I'll do is install the Touch pHat and run the one line installer. Verify everything works, then change the address. All I have to do is remove a resistor and solder in a jumper wire. it appears to be the easier of the two to modify. Then get the software working again. Then install the Drum Hat etc.

I'm hoping to make it a combination of buttons pressed. Press A on the Touch pHat to set 8 button function's on the Drum Hat. Press B on the Touch pHat to get 8 different functions / options on the Drum pHat. That gets me 4 x 8 32 functions, instead of 4 plus 8, 12 functions. 6 x 8 if I use the other two buttons on the Touch pHat that same way. Assuming my coding skills are up to it? That's my plan anyway. I likely won't start this build until I get my income tax refund.

Just ordered some stuff from Pimoroni, parts to finally get my rover working the way I want. Anyway, I got the "one Pi per order and we meant it message" when I went to checkout. I had selected 1 Pi Zero, 1 Pi zero W, and 1 Zero W with header, and didn't get any warnings. Not until I went to checkout to actually order them. I tried removing just the Zero W with header, but still got the warning. Then removed the Pi Zero (non W) and was able to continue. Bummer, was hoping to sneak an extra one in. I need one with no header so that's the one I settled on.

How much is the standard shipping cost from Pimoroni if you buy just 1 zero w? Is that correct? $13.50 a piece? In Canakit it is only $5 a piece + $9.95 shipping.

Which Zero is that? The Zero W is 13.50 Canadian @ Pimoroni. The Zero with camera connector, V1.3, is 6.67 Canadian @ Pimoroni. It' 6.75 @ CanaKit. https://www.canakit.com/raspberry-pi-zero.html
The original Zero with no camera connector I believe was 5 dollars. Can you even buy those anymore though?
My 68.03 GBP order @ Pimoroni had 14.00 GBP shipping fees.

EDIT: 6.75 Cad is 5.33 US. Were you maybe seeing US prices on CanaKit?

Yeah, I was talking in US$. So that US$5 zero W on Canakit is not the same as the one you ordered from Pimoroni? The $5 seems to be in stock so, yes, I guess you can still buy them. :)

EDIT. I was wrong. The $5 one in Canakit is the 1V3 version. Is that different from the one with camera connector you are talking about?
