Yeah, the one I bought was meant for indoor. I figured with four wheels it would be Ok on a grass lawn or soccer field. I wasn't planning on driving it over rough terrain, etc. Plus even indoors it looks so much better with 4 wheels. The motors were only 3.50 each so I'm toying with cutting the back half with the motor off. Actually, looking at the back, there are 4 tiny screws. I want to see if the wheels will free wheel with the motor removed. If they will I'll put them back in and see how it drives. If it will turn OK I'm back in business.

Close but no cigar. It was easy enough to remove the motors and a couple of gears to make the wheels free wheel. It doesn't want to turn though. It tries to drag the front to one side, it pivots at the rear axel instead of in the middle. Time to put the caster back on I guess.

Modified my Pirate Radio setup today. Replaced the Pi Zero W with one that has a 90 degree header on it. Now the USB and HDMI jacks are pointing straight out the back with easy access. No more having to take it out of the case to hook up a monitor. Don't know why I didn't think of this before. I'll try and get a picture to post. Lighting isn't the best where its at, at the moment. I had a spare Pi Zero with no header and a 90 degree male header on hand. I try to always add stuff like that, spare headers etc, to my orders so I have stuff when I need it. It paid off today. =)

Not sure what's going on, I think my pHat Beat might have died? Turned on my pirate radio night before last and it just made the usual pop sound but no music? Tried changing channels, play pause, nothing but speaker pops? Shut down works though so I know its running? So today I decide to start all over from scratch, and make my Pi easier to access. Same deal though, LEDs flash, then the usual pop sound in the speakers but no music. I guess it wasn't my remote after all? I'm just doing one more clean image of Jessie, and just running the pHat Beat installer, no VLC radio. Then I'll do a speaker test.

I'm getting Playback open error: -16, Device or resource busy? Not sure what's going on. Tried the original Pi Zero, same deal. Removed my Proto pHat board too, just to be safe. Posted on Pimoroni, will see where that leads.

Ok, had to run sudo systemctl stop pulseaudio then do the speaker test with speaker-test -c2 -t wav. I hear front left, front right, and the VU meter worked so my pHat Beat must be OK?

Yes, thought I might have broken something with all the modifying I've been doing. I'm just flashing an image I made of a working setup a while back. Will swap that in and see what happens.
