This is getting to be very frustrating. The Eastlink router has a very poor user interface. I tried setting up a Virtual Server in the Firewall menu. There is no port forwarding menu to be found anywhere. In Edge all I get is a could not access the download directory. And in IE it prompts to downoad a file that is just random numbers and letters. If I click download it just endlessly downloads. Its an Arris DG3270. Giving up on it for now. I may e-mail Eastlink for instructions.

Tried that 8081-8081 inbound, Type both, ip address of the PC I want to view the feed on, and 8081-8081 local port. And Eastlink do not offer support for setting up port forwarding. Did the live chat, would not tell why they don't offer support for port forwarding.

Yikes... seems like their routers are very vulnerable to attacks that's why they stay away from opening up ports.

I think its actually disabled. I can't put a checkmark in the box in that menu. I can put a checkmark in, but its gone the next time you look at that page in the settings? Exit out and go back in and its gone.

I have my own router I could likely setup to do this. It gets complicated though with one router feeding another, you get double NAT which isn't a good idea to do. I could also turn off the DHCP on my router and it would become a switch. I don't know if that would then break the port forwarding on it?
When I had Eastlink years ago I turned off their WIFI and used my D-Link router (with DHCP turned off) to do it. It worked great and I got my full speed. They had their WIFI locked into single channel mode.
I tried to do the same thing with my ASUS router with Bell and it didn't work? As soon as I turned DHCP off on my router no PC's would connect to it? Never did figure out why?
That same ASUS router is what I have sitting there doing nothing. Might have another go at getting it hooked up in switch mode latter today. Need to take a break from this for now though.

My Pi 3B+ motion Eye Pi locked up again. Video feed feezed and I couldn't access the web interface. It did it in IE first. I power cycled it and switched to Edge and it did it again an hour or so latter. I don't now if its the Pi 3B+ or the Lexar Micro SD card? It's the only Pi 3B+ I have running Motion Eye. My two 3B's with 16 gig Lexar cards seem fine? I have another 16 gig Lexar with my AIY install on it. I'm going to wipe it and put Motion Eye on it and have one more go with my 3B+. If I was a betting man I'd bet on the issue being these Lexar Micro SD cards. I have one spare 16 gig Sandisk card I may try if this 16 gig Lexar glitches. like the 32 gig one did.
Just about ready to give up on running Motion Eye on that Pi. I may repurpose it for another use. I want to post on the Motion Eye forum but he has some IMHO ridicules requirements to post an issue. All kinds of "I have read' and wanting log files. He seems to have a rather high opinion of himself. Thats how he comes across to me anyway.

Except for the fuzzy reso right now (but still acceptable to me), my Pi Cam just keeps working in the background.
Unfortunately, you are facing a road block with your router right now

Yeah, Eastlink is pissing me off. I only just switched from Bell so I'm not keen on switching back at the moment. I'm going to hook up my router tomorrow and setup a second WIFI network to test some things.

To be honest I'm not sure if my issue is the Pi 3B+, the Micro SD card in it, or the WIFI connection its getting? < My locking up issue.

Mine is also a little fuzzy, I think thats because I'm using 1280 x 720 when the camera wants 1920 x 1280. I can live with what I'm getting.

I just posted on the Pimorini forum, thats where I bought that Pi. They may be able to point me to a solution. I think its the same software their octocam uses?

Calling it quits for tonight. Extenuating circumstances.

did you try using Chrome instead of Edge or IE? I just tried it on Edge and I got the same download thingy. Could be a browser thing.

I don't use Chrome, only ever use Edge and sometimes IE.
