Lol, keep typeing on the wrong keyboard. I have my latop setup out on my deck with my Pi monitor beside it and Pi keyboard in front of it. I keep typing on the Pi keyboard when I want to do something on the laptop.
apt-get update upgarde worked without an error this time on my AIY Pi. Thats encouraging. I had reimaged that card by mistake, no big deal I hadn't done much on that setup anyway other than the usual keyboard and localization settings. Going to have a look see here, https://projects.raspberrypi.org/en/...-with-picamera and see what that gets me.

@badrobot just want to confirm what your using to stream your video from your Pi Camera, and get a link to the guide you followed. I'm just setting up my AIY Pi and doing the update / upgrade. Going togo grabe a cup of coffee while it does its thing.
Hi Alpha, this is the guide I followed. I am running my camera on Raspbian.

Another question, are you streaming your video or viewing it by SSHing into the Pi?

The video can be viewed by a web browser on PC or an app on phone or tablet. Everything is manually done. There is no motion sensor option to record. The video is always live unless you manually stopped it. The commands are done by ssh.
This is why I got the app for the command line shortcut buttons. Instead of typing the script, I just press the shortcut button on my phone. It's like a personalized graphics interface. :)

Ok, for once I'm asking the questions, lol. My plan is to start it all via a python file on boot. Then just connect to it from my PC when I want to view it. Thats how I currently do it. Motion eye streams the video by default on boot up. All I have to do is http://lan ip in a browser to view it. I gave up on the motion part long ago.
I'll have to have another look at the video to see what commands are entered. Unless you have some you can post.

You don't need to do anything for boot up settings. The camera enables itself on boot up once you do the "sudo motion service start".
All the commands you need are on the video. Just pause the video if you need to time while typing them. :)

Oh crap my AIY just crashed while installing xscreensaver. fatal io error. Not sure if its the AIY install or my Lexar Micro SD card? It's a new card but I don't think the Pi likes Lexar cards very much. Now its locked up and won't shut down. I've seen other complaints about issues with Lexar cards on the Pi forum. Only found them after I bought my cards. I have a spare Sandisk card so I may start over with that and just plain Raspbian. Going to p[ack it in for now though, neck and shoulders are getting sore. =(

Oh wait, I screwed up. This video is not the guide. It's just the guide I used to test the camera. I'll get back to you with the actual guide.
