Wow... all your parts are premium. Mine are just salvaged... haha...

Will try to adjust to 720p and we will probably have the same fps.

No case on mine though. Not a big deal really, its hardly ever touched and pretty well runs 24 / 7. With the difusser on the front you don't really notice its all open unless your up close. Reusing the diffuser from the portable tilted it up a bit and made it easier to view and read. Accidental bonus. =) If I happen on something thats usable for a case I'll add one though.

The problem with the diffuser on my clock is that it affects the video clarity. But it has to be "hidden" by design. :)

I drilled a very small hole in my black ninja difusser, camera wouldn't have been usable without it. The picture is in my earlier post. I'm sure my hole is bigger than it needs to be but I wanted the round bit of the lens recessed. Motion eye also lets you turn the camera LED off.

I dont need to turn off the LED on mine but it's also do-able by command line. Only the camera lens is peeking out of the opaque plastic backing inside the case. I drilled a hole on it.

Ah, OK, thats probably good enough and still be stealth.

EDIT: Only that round bit protrudes into my difusser. The square part is resting against the back side.

That's what I thought about while I was assembling this project. But I did a test by dimming the LEDs down to 0.5, (3.0 is default) but I don't see any difference.

They won't be full spectrum, like an incandescent bulb would be. Thats why I asked and wondered what impact they might have. As near as I can tell, white LED's are actually blue LEDs with a white difusser added. It tricks your eyes into seeing white light. Where as, if you have the red, green, blue LED's like what's in my Unicorn Hat HD, its a lot closer to real whit light. Its still a trick but the light is more broad spectrum than what you get from a single "white" LED. Something like that anyway.
