I can see myself buying at least one of these, Adafruit CRICKIT for micro:bit ID: 3928 - $29.95 : Adafruit Industries, Unique fun DIY electronics and kits
One really big issue with the Micro Bit is limited current when its powered via the onboard Micro USB port. It uses 3.3V power and logic, but the 5V to 3V onboard regulator is really limited in the current it can supply.
Max current provided via edge connector 90mA
On battery its OK, that 5V to3V regulator is bypassed. But you only get 3v to work with, that makes it tough to run servos and motors. With the cricket no problem. I might actually start to do some cool stuff with my Micro Bit. They are just sitting there doing nothing at the moment. I already have 5V power supplies with barrel connectors on them. Some 3A and 4A.

Cool, thanks, appreciate it muchly. V1 or V2? I only ask because if its a V2 to be fair I think I owe you another 5 bucks or so plus the motors etc.
Just so you know, the V1 camera, and those Pi Zero ones are 5 mega pixels and the new V2 full sixed one is 8 mega pixel.
I'm keen to see what the video quality is like on the new V2 hooked up to a Pi 3B+ is over the 5 GHz wifi. The 3B will only do the 2.4 GHz band. Don't really want to use Ethernet, even if it is faster with better video.

EDIT: I'm here until about 2:30. Thats when I head out for the dogs afternoon playtime. I just filled my better half in in case I'm not here on the day you show up. Your stuff in in a plain brown box by the front door.

Don't worry about the cable, I should have one here. I have several of the shorty Zero ones, and one long Zero one. I'm sure I have one of the normal ones kicking around in one of my boxes of stuff. I might be hooking it up to a Zero anyway.

Was just about to reply that I couldn't find one, but not to worry about it. 4 inch is fine for what I want to do, so thats great. =)
Was trying to remember what came with it? The one I have (thats in use already) is 6 inches or more and I'm pretty sure I ordered it separately. Was using it to mount the camera on the top of the frame holding my screen on the bread board rig. So that means I should have the one that came with it around "somewhere?", lol. I have so much flotsam and jetsam its a wonder I can find anything when I need it, lol.

Looking at the picture here, https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/r...nt=19833929735 That looks to be 4 inches, so I should have a 4 inch cable around here some place?

The V1, and I assume the V2 full size camera module, will fit in the Pi Foundation Pi Zero Official case. All you have to do is drill the hole in the camera cover so its bigger. Once you do that the board snaps in no problem. If you want the full 8 mega pixels. The V2 is supposed to be interchangeable with the V1. I had my V1 hooked up to a Pi Zero W in the official case.

The Pi Zero one fits Ok, its made for that case. https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/r...nt=37751082058
I'm pretty sure I would have broke my camera if I had forced it in the Zero camera cover though? https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/r...nt=19833929735 < Square peg in a round hole?
I'll take another look when I get yours, maybe I didn't have to drill it out bigger? I have loads of spare covers so no big deal. You get the three different covers with every case so I have lots of spares. If you solder on the male GPIO you can't use the camera cover anyway.
I have one Pi Zero with no header, the one I had the camera attached too.
Three with the male header on top. Not actually using those Pi's at the moment.
Three with female headers on the bottom, use those in my rovers.
And one with a 90 male, use that in my pirate radio.
And I think 5 Official Pi Zero cases, 5 or 6 I lost count? That means 4 or 5 spare covers of each type lol.
