    @zbook Many thanks, I assume for the Memtest, I download the ISO and install on a DVD and run from that, again the website does not make that clear.

    Memtest86+ version 5.01 can also be run from a USB flash drive.
    It will take windows out of the picture so that there should be no bsod during memtest86+ version 5.01 testing.
    The test can be run overnight.
    The more the runs the better the test.
    Just 1 error is a fail > then test 1 RAM module at a time in the same DIMM.

    @zbook
    1) Memtest carried out; 8 passes no errors, screenshot below:

    2) Nvidia un-installed using DDU (slight issue with my keyboard in safe mode as it was not supported!), and on the second pass just installed the drivers and physx.

    3) McAfee un-installed using tool, no problems having used it before, and considering not re-installing.

    So its a waiting game to see what happens (or not) next, many thanks.

    @zbook & @Ztruker It has now been two weeks without indecent and I have marked this thread as as solved, and added to both your reputations as I am unsure who's advice worked, or whether it was a joint effort, many thanks.
