BSOD randomly appears with IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL

    update


    I uninstalled current driver (388.13ver) and installed another version (387.92ver).
    GPU : Xenon GTX 1060 Storm x dual D5 3GB

    After installed driver, another bsod VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR started. Then another one KERNEL AUTO BOOST INVALID LOCK RELEASE started.
    I'm sure installed right version of driver. And uninstalled under safe mode.

    There were a variety of different bugchecks in the latest mini dumps.
    There was 1 misbehaving driver identified and this was a recurrent misbehaving driver.

    nvlddmkm.sys
    Driver that was uninstalled: 23.21.13.8813
    Driver that was just installed: 23.21.13.8792

    1) Remove the GPU from the computer
    2) Ensure that the GPU is free from dust build up and that the fan is working correctly
    3) Reseat the GPU and check that all connections are securely made
    4) Review the steps that had been made using DDU and replacing the Nvidia graphics driver
    5) remove and replace again the Nvidia graphics driver.
    6) This time use the AMD as the source for a driver and that the "clean install" method is chosen.
    7) Make sure that there is no over clocking while troubleshooting.
    8) Sometimes there are problems in the bios that produce bsod.
    9) To ensure that there are no improper bios settings please reset the bios.
    10) Sometimes there can be failure to boot after resetting the bios.
    11) So please make sure your files are backed up.
    12) Please make a backup image with Macrium:

    13) And please create a brand new restore point.
    14) Please list all of the available Nvidia graphic drivers that you find for the computer's configuration and operating system on the Nvidia website.
    15) The available drivers will be tested by trial and error to find a stable driver.

    update


    Hello, want to update what I tried.

    1. Removed GPU and checked it but didn't find any dust or fan problem.
    2. Reseat GPU and all connection in right position.
    3. Bios reset
    4. Disable Driver updates
    3. Using DDU, uninstalled current driver in safe mode. Uninstalling Source driver for all avialable option. (Intel, Amd, Nvidia)
    4. Installed latest version from Nvidia website. (388.31)

    The last WHEA was on 11/9/2017.
    The latest BSOD mini dumps had bugchecks 113, 3b, a, 162,9c, d1, f7
    There was no definitive non-Microsoft misbehaving driver on the latest dumps.
    The windows update driver dxgkrnl has appeared in multiple dumps.
    The multiple bugchecks indicate a hardware problem.
    See if you can find a friend, neighbor, relative, local store to swap the Nvidia graphics card.
    Testing the computer's card in another system and testing another card in this computer would be useful tests to help rule in/rule out graphic card problems.

    Check PSU voltages in BIOS
    What are the BIOS 3.3, 5 and 12 voltage values?
    What are the CPU voltage and frequency?
    If necessary please use a camera to post images.

    Have there been any more BSOD?
    Have you been able to find a GPU that you could swap for testing in each computer?

    Still bsod starts every 3-5 minutes. This gpu tested in service center and gave it to me for testing in my computer. Current and previous GPU both tested and they found no error in them.

    Yes, couldn't found other computer to testing. I have 1 laptop and this desktop. Most friend have laptop so hardly find to test it.

    Should I throw it to a window and buy a new system?

    Anyway, I have one question. Is there any possibility that monitor causing bsod in my case? Or should I bring PSU to service center for precise test?

    The best test now is on the GPU.
    That needs to be ruled in/ruled out.
    Borrowing a video card to that works well in another computer will be useful to test. Does it or does it not produce BSOD in the problematic computer.
    And placing the current video card into another computer that is working normally does the video card produce or not produce BSOD.

    Once the GPU is ruled in/ruled out we can test other hardware.
    Ideally we can stress test the GPU once there is a tested product (no bsod in another computer) like the CPU to see performance.

    Update


    I want to update my last few day's activity.
    First, I took my computer to pc expert. I explained all of my effort to solving problem since bsod started. (Test, what kind of bsod, etc).
    Then he tested my computer with program name "OCCT" .
    1. CPU, CPU-LINPACK test was fine.
    2. GPU and PSU test was instantly ended just after test started.
    3. He tried to testing with another PSU to my computer then GPU, PSU test was started properly. (At least it was not ended instantly, didnt checked results)
    4. And he said it was PSU problem and it causes GPU related BSOD.
    5. Took my PSU to Micronics service center and replaced with another same one.
    6. Came back home and test with OCCT but GPU, PSU test instantly ended just like before replaced.
    7. BSOD (IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL mainly) still came up

    So, I really confused and seriously consider to buying new PSU.
