    BSOD/Black Screen While Gaming. Video_TDR_Failure atikmpag.sys

So for months now while playing games my monitor will randomly just loose connection as if the GPU just disabled all of its videos out ports. When this happened my computer would continue to run but without a display, I know this was happening because I could continue to talk to my friends on Skype once the display was gone.

Now I have set up a second display, connected through the Motherboards DVI out and when my display goes out only the one plugged into the GPU is gone and the other displays a BSOD being a Video_TDR_Failure atikmpag.sys. After the system reboots the main display is still gone until I do a full shutdown and reboot.

Also, I should mention my Motherboard has a damaged RAM slot, but should not affect anything here from what some local PC techs told me, my RX 470 once it hits around high 60s to low 70s in temp the GPU will clock down to 300Mhz(This is fixed by a custom fan curve), and one last thing. This is not my first RX 470, I RMA'd my first one because it was having some artifacting issues and a similar BSOD error, but this is no longer an issue I am having with the new RX 470.

Here are all of the things I have done to try and fix the issue:
Underclocking, Undervolting, Reinstalling Drivers With the help of DDU, Removing CPU OC, Updating Motherboard and GPU BIOS to the latest updates, Upping Power limit on GPU to 25%(MAX) and I think that is most of it.

Thanks for the help in advance.

There is software on the computer used to divert activation of Windows.
The website has rules regarding piracy.
If you remove this software we can provide help.

Um, my Windows 10 is legit from what I know. I downloaded Windows 8 and activated it and then upgraded to Windows 10 from there. I have no knowledge of any software to divert windows activation.

It is not installed. The program was uninstalled a long time ago and also has nothing to do with Windows Activation

    Hi ItsTheYoshi ,

Welcome to Ten Forums BSOD forum.

The BSOD mini dump files were partially debugged.
Some of the Windbg commands are not working during this Windows upgrade period.
The debugging indicated that the GPU drivers were misbehaving.
In addition the debugging displayed video TDR failure.

For all tests please post images into the thread.
In case there is any difficulty posting images please use one drive or drop box share links.

    Perform the following steps:
    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    5) chkdsk /x /f /r
This may take many hours so plan to run overnight.
Use the information in this link to find the report in the event.vwr and post the report into the thread:
Read Chkdsk Log in Event Viewer in Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials

    6) Run HDTune: http://www.hdtune.com/to check the health,
scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
    run a benchmark.

It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
When above is done please make screenshots of the following
    the health,
    the error scan,
    the benchmark incl. following
    transfer rate,
    access time,
    burst rate,
    cpu usage.
Take Screenshot in Windows 10 General Tips Tutorials

    7) Uninstall everything AMD using Display driver uninstaller and install new drivers from the AMD website.8) Be sure the "clean install" box is checked and only install the graphics driver.

    9) A VIDEO_TDR_ERROR always relates to the system's graphics card (TDR = Timeout Detection Recovery).
This could be down to a number of reasons including drivers, heat, power to the card, a faulty PCI-e slot or simply a defective GPU. It's in your best interests to employ common sense trouble shooting techniques in these situations.
    Try later and/or earlier drivers
Measure the GPU's temperatures at idle and under load
Ensure the GPU is free from dust build up and that the fan is working correctly
Reseat the GPU and check all connections are securely made
    Check PSU voltages in BIOS
Try a different card in the system

    10) What are the BIOS 3.3, 5 and 12 voltage values?
What are the CPU voltage and frequency?

    11) Run memtest86+ version 5.01 for at least 8 passes.
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
This may take hours so plan to run it overnight.
Please make sure you use the Memtest86+ version 5.01 with the link below.
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
The testing is done not by time but by passes.
    The more passes the better.
There are a significant number of false negatives if fewer than 8 passes are made.
A false negative is a test pass when there is malfunctioning RAM.
There is 16 GB of RAM on the computer.
    Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing takes approximately 1 - 2 hours /GB RAM
Just 1 error is a fail and you can abort testing.
Then test 1 RAM module at a time in the same DIMM each for 8 or more passes.
When Memtest86+ has completed 8 or more passes use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.

Here are the tests on all of my drives. One thing that I noticed is that my Adata drive got a little hot yesterday, up to 46C and when that happened the drive throttled speeds so I am going to increase fan speeds in the case to see if that might help the SSD.

Also about the AMD drivers, I have tried many different AMD drivers to fix this issue. I have tried about all of the drivers that have support for my RX 470 and none of them fixes the issue.
