Support For Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON | MSI Global

Please check the CPU warranty status for RMA.

@philc43 !thread windbg command not working in any dump I look at
Thanks... I have the latest 7A63v15 bios, 6/27/2017.

Besides the high heat, do you believe the CPU needs to go in for warranty? What leads you to believe this?

    Thank you,

Do you recommend trying to downgrade to the previous bios?

For the BIOS please make sure that you have installed the most recent version.

Another misbehaving driver was identified: nvlddmkm

The best way to fix the misbehaving Nvidia driver is to uninstall everything Nvidia using Display driver uninstaller and install new drivers from the computer manufacturer's website or from the Nvidia website.

When using the Nvidia web site be sure the "clean install" box is checked and only install the graphics driver and the physx driver.

Thanks! Went into safe mode, did a Clean and Restart with Display Driver Uninstaller. Re-installed the latest drivers after reboot!

Can you help me narrow down in this thread where this is pointed out? I'm not adept at deciphering what bits point to the L0 cache going wrong. It would be much appreciated. I'll get an RMA w/Intel going, as well. Thanks, again!

These are some troubleshooting links for the start menu:

I think I found a solution for the Start Menu issue that is plaguing anyone who's installed the Fall Creator's update:

Task Host Window - Microsoft Community

    User NguyenDex posts this:

    Code:
I ran into this issue after updating to the Fall Update (1709) for both my Personal Desktop and my Work Dell Laptop. The only work around I found was to restart Windows Explorer in Task Manager or signing out and back in. When I signed out I would get
the "Task Host Window: microsoft\windows\plug and play\device install reboot required". After searching this I found a dutch (?) website (https://www.deskmodder.de/blog/2017/10/31/problem-bei-der-anmeldung-meine-anmeldeinfos-verwenden-um-die-geraeteeinrichtung-einem-update-oder-neustart-automatisch-abzuschliessen/).
Apparently Microsoft added a new option in the Accounts section in 1703 (Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-In Options) called "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update or restart.". The dutch website says (according the google
translate) the option doesn't really work and to turn this option off and it should fix the task bar/start menu issue. I am testing this on my desktop at the moment, shutting off/restarting my Desktop, and haven't ran into the task bar/start menu issue yet.

    So turn off
"Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update or restart." under Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-In Options. This worked for me!

    Thanks, axe0

How do I explain what steps I took... I ran dm_log_collector.exe but not sure how results were actually acquired/interpreted.

I need to be able to explain steps I took and steps taken to reproduce.

    thanks, in advance!
